MKS Sylvan Touring Next Ezy Superior vs Promenade Ezy ?

For a Moulton TSR 27 .
I have and like the Promenade Ezy on my Brompton .
Is the Sylvan Touring worth the upgrade ?
They look too bling and less flat shoe friendly , but are a bit larger , which is why I'm considering .

I've been considering the same switch for my Birdy. The Promenade Exy is just a bit too small for me, I ride in street shoes, and the fitting of the yellow plastic clip rather fiddling when it's cold and wet out. However the additional price of the Sylvan Touring Next Ezy Superior has put me off so far. BUT, I'll probably treat myself at Xmas.

I've used Promenades (usually with Power Grips) through the years on a number of bikes including Moulton TSR's. On my my commuter bike, I've switched to MKS LAMBADA Pedals which are by far the most comfortable removable pedals that I've tried. Very comfortable with a wide variety of street shoes.

I was looking at quick release pedals a little while ago for my tandem kidback. There are many less expensive options, the Compass site has the top of the line

I found the MKS Allways a more comfortable pedal than the Promenade but they're too big on my Brompton .
But they're great on my full size hybrid .

Esprit Superior is about the same size as the right Brompton pedal(left side a bit smaller due to folding mechanism):

Lambda/Gripking has a bigger platform and is nice with sneakers:

I like the EZY system better than the Superior. I never bother with the yellow lick rings; no problems.
Find the lining up of the white dots on Superior a pain.

Ps, another reason I prefer EZY - there are other companies that are inter changeable with it.
Ti Parts Workshop, ACE, etc. So for example if you wanted to used MKS' EZY pedals with titanium TPW collars.

I had the Esprit but it's too thin so my shoes keep rubbing on the quick release and makes a squeaky sound. I would assume the Sylvan Touring may have the same problem. To stop the rubbing, you'd have to put your feet further outward.

So then I changed to the Urban Platform. But I had to shave off the spiky tabs that block my shoes from getting closer. After shaving, when I put my shoes right next to the crank, I get about 0.5-1mm of clearance to the quick release. No more rubbing.

Where are you guys buying these things? I only see them on Japanese and a few European sites. Are there any sources in North America?

I tried the Sylvan Touring Next Ezy Superior , it's nice and gives a little more coverage than the promenade .
They're also super smooth .
But I'm not sure I prefer to the promenade .

I ended up for the moment with the MKS Allways from another bike .
I'll probably run the Ezy Superior version .

One Pro of the Allways is they're most comfortable with my CONS .

I switched to the MKS RMX .
Look better on the bike and while not as smoove as the Sylvan Touring Next or Allways , are more comfortable with flat soled shoes .

i mentioned previously that i switched to the mks urban platform with ezy superior. theyre flat except for the tabs on the inner side that you have to file off. the height of the platform is enough for flat shoes to clear the quick release without rubbing against them.
