HUJSAK Gets Its 34th Chain - (But BR-7300 brake pads???)

John Perkins is a 78 year old local racing competitor and is way out of my league running and riding 64 miles a week - But I do ride a few miles with him when he goes through the state park - He called me up to help him replace his chain for the 34th time on his 80s Hujsak - He had some freewheel chain length issues - Hey - No problem with the chain - Just snapped on an SRAM... But now for his brake blocks I really don't know...

Found a set on ebay for $35.00 but thats ridiculous - Is there a cheaper alternative or a pad I can modify that will work in this type brake block?

(What I really like about his bike is that it is ridden and not hung on display as furniture)

That is CrAZY for pads, but they are a very weird, proprietary type...those really are worn down!

Spend the money. As a tribute to the bike and it's formidable history.

If you pull one out and measure the dimensions, perhaps some other type will fit. Kool-Stop has the dimensions posted for some of their models.

Is that the one you got from a BF member a few years ago and painted? If so, that's a super frame.

may be cheaper to replace with a set of Tektro DP sidepull calipers. Don't know if a brake pads for a campy sidepull would fit those Ax aero brakes.
