Burley seat creak
The seat on my Burley Canto creaks quite a bit. The seat frame is rock solid and shows no signs of cracking or other structural problems. I check the QR bolts for the sliding mechanism and make sure they're plenty tight. I think the metal-to-metal contact surfaces are to blame, and my understanding is that these should not be greased.
Earlier on, Burley had used plastic slider blocks, but when they proved prone to breakage, switched to aluminum blocks (first one pair, then both). On my Canto, all four blocks are aluminum.
Any suggestions for reducing or eliminating the creaking? TIA.

Try wetting the fabric a bit where it runs across the seat frame, to see if that affects the creaking. If it's the fabric, then changing the tension might fix it.
