Those places can't be that seedy considering a bunch of kids are stopping there, stand 50 feet away from their $1000 bikes, taking pictures with fancy DSLR cameras, and not getting all of their **** stolen.

Yeah I was gonna post the same thing. If you can walk more than 10 feet away from your bike without locking it up, it ain't that seedy.
If it wasn't 117 degrees I'd ride by the corner store in my old neighborhood. As it is, you'll have to settle for streetview.
This was my go to for hangover-busting powerades and off brand BBQ potato chips. Brought my bike inside:
This was the liquor store, luckily walking distance from the apartment because I wouldn't even lock up outside this place:

Also, if you can manage to get you camera out and take a pic without getting said camera stolen.....I don't consider that "seedy"
I consider 90% of my town to be safe enough, but there are a few spots that if you are riding through, and you look like me, you're either lost or looking for drugs.
Anyways, I was dissapointed with this thread lol. i was expecting a truly awesome bodega with like a strip club and gambling and ****.

90%(that isn't hyperbole) of the murders in my area are in a 2 mile strip just west of downtown. You basically don't drive in unless you are prepared for someone to walk up and try to open your car door. Not planning on taking any photos.

That said, the crack dealers on my front stoop* were always friendly. Guess it's bad for business to mess with the white guy in the neighborhood (and potentially have to deal with the cops). They complimented my bikes almost every time I went for a ride.
*This sounds like the type of thing white people say for "I lived in the hood!" hyperbolic effect. It isn't. Most hours of most days, there was a group of young gentlemen on my stoop. They sold crack cocaine. They got busted a couple times, and a few hours later a new group of young gentlemen would show up.
When the cops asked me why I was choosing to live in an active drug market, I told them the craigslist ad forgot to mention that part.

Last year when i went to capitol hill block party in Seattle I was accosted many times by the same homeless man proclaiming he was an ecstacy N*****r each time and that he was looking for ecstacy, I did not help him get ecstacy but I did buy him a tall boy he thanked me and said he was going to find some ecstacy and come right back to chill. I never did see him again, although I'll never forget him.

The truly seedy places are the ones you'll never see a picture of since you'd have to be daft to pull out camera or smartphone and start snapping pictures....not to mention even bothering to stop.

Richmond, CA. I kind of miss it, having a liquor store 4 blocks in any direction. Oh well, Seattle's way better.

You gonna eat that?

I said "seedy" not "war zone". Many of you on this thread have confused the two.

I live in the CD in Seattle and it's not too bad but there are some sketch areas. Some guy was murdered by pick axe about 7 blocks away from my house back last September.

No pics but had a friend living in Bushwick for a year. Local bodega had the counter behind bulletproof glass. Another one I frequented as a teen in yonkers was the weed spot. Fond memories...

No kidding. I live in South Tacoma, we define seedy. I'll get some pics up in here once I have a chance to go on a seedy convenience store run.

Quick Shop Minit Mart Where I purchased an apple, and a Vitamin Water (only thing that looked decent, I won't buy water in a bottle) and the tab came to $3.89... I could have sworn the water was $1.69, so that must have been one hell of an apple.
