Brake Fluid flush

Did a brake fluid flush on my Shimano disc brakes the other day, they started getting spongy on long downhills, probably heat causing water in the oil to boil. A fair bit of black gunk/water contamination came out. They work much better now. I reckon I used maybe 100-150ml of oil per end until it was coming out clean. Brakes haven't been flushed for maybe 4 years.
