High-End Road Helmets for Super Large Heads
I had a condition similar to hydrocephalus, resulting in intracranial pressure and a super large head (greater than 63 cm). Seriously, my head looks like Alien's from the film Alien.
I have been searching for a high-end road helmet that will fit me properly and have struck out at local bike shops so my only recourse is to order something online and see if it fits. I am looking for some specific brands and models if anyone is aware of some. Although they aren't exactly in the high-end range, I have found the Bell Falcon MIPS and the Lazer Blade+ MIPS helmets that are offered in XL (61-65 cm range).
Thanks

I have small moons orbiting my big head. The Giro Savant MIPS fits my dome nicely. I think it goes up to 64cm. I actually think it’s bigger, I can wear a thick beanie under it comfortably.
Check out helmets.org / bighead for good starting points. I haven’t come across any $250+ high end XL helmets that fit. As long as it features MIPS it should be just as good as anything out there.

My son and wife both have gigantic melons. They've been able to get a good fit in POC helmets - Octal and Ventral Spin.

Tried a Bell Z20 and a Lazer Z1 in large; both were too small. I tried a Giro Syntax in XL and it fits. However, I'm still searching for something a bit lighter. I will give the Kask recommendations a go and fall back to the Syntax if nothing else works.

I have an XL Bell Stratus that fits with room to spare (but its hard to find hats that fit). Skip the MIPS for a few extra MM but possibly reduced protection.

It seems every size large I try is actually too small. I tried a Kask in large and that was the case. I might just need to avoid the size larges and go with extra large, which unfortunately puts some of the best high-end helmets out of contention. I will give the POC recommendation a shot.

I wear a 4xl motorcycle helmet and the only helmet I can find that fits is a specialized low end helmet. I wish they offered some more features in a higher end helmet for us "big headed" guys lol
