I was attacked by a very pissed off rottweiler. That son of the devil, went for my 13 son first. I had to stab that poor rott over and over with my front skewer, while trying to use the wheel as a sheild. He was dead before he gave up! I don't ever leave home without my blade and some peppa.
I wish I could find the owner of that dog

One time while riding through some sugar cane fields, I encountered several large Hawaiians with shotguns. They suggested that I not use that cane road in the future.

I obliged them.

A large Mountain Lion. I was riding in a dry gulch in Apache Junction AZ. I came around a bend and there he was. He looked at me, I at him .....then thankfully he dove into some brush and vanished. End of story.

Does a cliff count? Really though, I think I see more hazards on my road bike than I do on my mtb. Cars and dogs and the like.

Yeah, personally, I think I've had more close calls while on a roadie than on an MTB. It seems anyone with a pickup truck wants to kill you. And for sure anyone with a Nascar sticker.

Riding one of the State Park trails, came across a hunter walking along the trail during small game season, carrying rifle/maybe small shotgun. We were by him, and I didn't turn to get another look. I was just "shell" shocked. After that, I bought a bright orange tshirt for riding during hunting season.

oh, and bees shouldn't sting you if unprovoked. You can walk around a bee apiary.

I don't know why people are so scared of bees (well, aside from those who are allergic to them)...

"What's the most dangerous thing you've rolled up to while MB'ing?"

Probably my own sense of invincibility.

Hunters who don't know enough not to point the muzzle of their gun at you, even when they smile and say hello.
