Schwinn Fastback 2 VS Felt FR60
I recently participated in my local bike shops bike swap (where you bring your old bikes in, they sell them, and you get store credit), so I’ve found myself with around $500 credit at this shop and want a road bike.
I’ve narrowed my options down to the Felt FR60, or the Schwinn Fastback 2. I think the Schwinn is a better bike on paper, Sora drivetrain not Claris is the big thing for me, and it’s cheaper than the Felt. What are everyone’s thoughts on both bikes? The shop did express concern with Schwinn because the name, not that it’s a bad bike, but that it will be a tough sell in the future, but I’m not concerned.
Any input is appreciated

Definitely the Felt. I generally trust lower end equipment from brands that offer high end bikes, as one would expect some of the R&D to trickle down.
The Claris drivetrain should be fine to start out. I also noticed that while the Felt has close to a full groupset (derailleurs, shifters, and crankset, along with a Shimano cassette), the Schwinn has Sora shifters and derailleurs but an FSA crank and Sunrace cassette. I have no idea if the crank and cassette on the Schwinn are okay or not.
It also bothers me, just a bit, that Schwinn does not list the weight of the bike.

As it turns out, the shop can’t order the Schwinn. It’s odd, they just don’t have access to some of the new signature models. Felt it is I guess
