My new/first MTB
I finally got my first real mountain bike on Monday. I took it out for the first time and for my first real mountain biking trip to South Park, PA. Its an Iron Horse Maverick 1.2 hardtail. I really like it and I really like mountain biking. I've ridden dirtbikes for a few years now but have been interested in mountain bikes too. I think getting better at mountain biking will make me better at dirtbiking and vice versa. I also think it will be a good way to stay in shape during the summer when I don't have access to a gym. I hope to get to know everyone here and I hope I can learn a lot from the collective knowledge here.

Just want to say Welcome to the sport!! I live in ATL Ga now,"been here 16 years" but was born and raised in PGH, my parents still live right in North Park. Was just up there a few months ago and got to do some riding while I was in town. From what I got to ride, and what I hear is around the area I did not hit, there is alot to have fun with. Best of luck!!!

Actually its funny you should say that, yesterday I couldn't take it anymore so I went out on the trails in spite of the snow, and I'm planning on going back out today around noon. I've gotta get all my riding in before I go back to school and start training for track.
