What are these screws under this frame for ?
I've seen some hardtails have screws under the frame to carry a second water bottle. But these screws on this full suspension frame are different. What are they for ?
Also, how are you supposed to carry a second water bottle on this full suspension frame ? Is it impossible to carry a second water bottle on a full suspension ?

Ok. So then, is there any way to put a second water cage/bottle in this full suspension frame, or any full suspension frame, as most are very similar to this ?

Even if you could put a bottle cage on the lower part of that down tube, just think of all the crap that it would get covered with from your front wheel. Get a hydration pack, best bet.

I typically ride with one bottle on the frame and one bottle in a Jersey pocket. Don't listen to them, your specialized epic would laugh at you if you tried to ride it with a hydration pack on...

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm used to riding hardtails which allow a second cage on the seat tube. I don't know about the "real mountain bikers use camelbaks" thingy, I like the freedom of not carrying a backpack.

Now If you ride this frame for long training rides for your race, you use a camelback. At least..... That's the way I always looked at it.

not nearly as much as a hydration pack does. Really it hits on the small of the back and is quite refreshing when its hot out to have a cold bottle there.

ive got one right under the bottom bracket on my full suspension. next to the cranks. Sort wierd bu tIt works. In AZ it gets battered alot.

When I lived in Wyoming, it was also useful if I decided to get off of the bike and hike somewhere to see something that wasn't accessible by bike.
Handy place for my 9mm, too.
