Confessions of a Brooks Professional owner.
I have ridden Brooks for years and loved them however in redoing my back up bike I lacked a Brooks but had a rejected Fiziik Arione from the past. I put it on and have put several hundred miles and was surprised by how much I liked it. So I did the unthinkable and placed a second Fiziik , an Alliente, also rejected in the past, onto my main ride after taking off the Brooks. Guess what? I love it. Not sure the difference from before, some minor adjustment likely but a delight to ride, looks good on both my Merlin and Freschi, lighter by far and very comfy. Still like brooks but these are feeling good right now.
Every ass is different and even the same ass differs with time- a true mystery.

I went the other way:30 years ago, I had several Selle Italia "Turbo" saddles and one Brooks Pro. Now I have four Brooks Pros and one Turbo.

Wow, from a Brooks Pro directly to an Arione. I made that switch, too, but it took 35 years.

Awesome thread doc!
It's a good thing you didn't do anything crazy like sell those saddles.
I am however a little disappointed you didn't work any medical lingo or a pic of your bloody head (for the 100th time) in your post.

Well I could find a few photos to insert but they would be a bit gross.

Sorry about not following through with the sale, I feel a bit bad about that.

Same experience. Had an ass hatchet of a saddle and replaced it with a B17. Was truly ass-heaven. But I slowly moved from a relaxed riding posture to a more aggressive one and I was having saddle issues. Back to the ass-hatchet saddle and, to my surprise, it's not been bad at all. All this is in a little over 6 months.
