My crystal ball...

I'm not prone to panic and I'm normally imbued with an abundance of skepticism but I don't think enough people perceive the enormity of this thing. I wear a mask in stores now, a NIOSH N95. You might assume it's flimsy but it's what doctor ordered. I have COPD. So get off my lawn!

Back on-topic, as far as TP is concerned, we may be locked down/quarantined for longer than expected. COVID is going nowhere until a vaccine is developed, proved safe and effective and then manufactured and distributed. Settle in for a long one.

But what do I know?

Multi-generational households in Italy are a suspected main reason for their rapid infection rate among the elderly.

Other factors are their relatively old population, and with a very high correlation between Covid19 death and obesity, high BP.

As well, different cultures have differing social distance and degrees of touching.

I'm wondering what the weather conditions in the worst-hit region of Italy has been like over the past six weeks?

China really took their problem seriously and infection rates have already slowed.

Japan has an older population but seems to be doing quite well WRT Covid19.

I'm well-stocked here for if I have to self-quarantine.

It could be a very long time, and could also be never. Some viruses run though their course without ever having a successful vaccine found for them

On the bright side, i found some TP at Safeway today. Although that's mostly to the comfort of my wife and daughter. I could find at least a half dozen suitable alternatives on hand for me. And the deciduous trees in my area haven't even started leafing yet!

I find it curious that the shortage was caused by fear of a shortage. The curious thing is that TP is far from the most essential thing. Most Americans don't have bidets, and when I think about it, I realize we should. But it's not that inconvenient to improves. Squat in the shower or bath and wash yourself. There's really not much to it. That's what people in some other parts of the world do, and as a result, they are cleaner than we are.

Right on, yours looks like it’s probably better than my “pre-fab”. 👍

Man, they’re taking this lock down thing seriously, here in L.A. People actually complained to the governor, about the beaches being so crowded, and now they’re getting the National Guard involved. 😲🙄 And finding a bathroom is getting really tough. I never realized how much I relied on fast food joints & gas stations.

But don’t worry about me, folks, I still have plenty of cannabis, for awhile. 😁😉

My cousins have a cannabis shop in Anchorage. They are doing a brisk business, which is nice, but it also means they are risking contraction of the virus. They have to take lots of precautions.

Beaches are closed, as are all the easily accessible hiking trails in the LA area, which is the right thing to do, when trail head parking lots are over capacity there is zero chance that anyone is practicing proper social distancing, how do you pass someone on a 2' wide trail and stay 6' away from them?

America is panicked over no TP? Lol

Quite sure we've long had bigger problems.

Just so youse all know, the public toilets in Redondo Beach had TP when I stopped around 11:00 AM. 😁 I’m in El Segundo now, almost to Venice Beach, and of course that’s right next to Santa Monica. 😎

Can someone let Sheryl know, that I’m almost there? 😁😉

Fro 2+ decades I've had people tell me that Idaho is a miserable "flyover state", and I really don't care what they think of Idaho, but I do find it hilarious that when stuff starts to get a bit scary the flyover states are the place to be...

I didn't see it my self but a newspaper here in Perth included several blank pages at the back of a recent edition, with dotted lines marking sheet sizes.

I'm rather surprised this PSA courtesy of Pluto did not mention for China to stop eating dog.

Now don't get all political on me, its a well known fact and just a cultural thing. Woof
