A "Lifestyle" bike ... a retro bike ... a classic updated with modern parts.
it is, however .... pink.

No knock on the bike, which looks like a fun ride, but I don't think I'd call it an updated classic. It really bears almost no resemblance to the original Superbe, the geometry and ride are going to be completely different.

Thanks everyone....
I tried talking her into the British Racing Green one, but its her's and not mine.
Other than being a women she is also a breast cancer survivor after going through a year of chemotherapy/radiation treatments and a double mastectomy she is cancer free. So the pink is for breast cancer also...
She's a trooper and stronger than I will ever be...
I have wanted a Port Townsend for along time and it arrived today. I know Raleigh today is not the Raleigh I bought my first road bike from in the mid 70's (Super Course MK II), but after selling my all carbon Raleigh Team SL road bike a couple of weeks ago I wanted to go back to steel with a more upright ride and this is made using Full Reynolds 520 Butted Chromoly Tubing.

Nothing wrong with a pink bike if it's done right. When I was designing the look of my custom ti bike I was considering a pink Cerakote glaze, but the test tube came out looking too much like bubble gum, so I went with the blend of Zombie Green and glass white.

May you have many happy years riding those bikes!
That Port Townsend is gorgeous.
Sorry if I sounded snotty about the Superbe (not my intent). I had one once 40-some years ago, and I miss it still.

That's my first Port Townsend that was delivered with my wife's Superbe. The box was not sealed and is upside down, but the bike inside is right side up.. hhhmmm
The statement below is what I just sent to RaleighUSA.
"My replacement bike came in today in great condition and after opening the
box and removing it I realized that the first bike you shipped to me that I
thought FEDEX messed up now looks more like I was sent a
pre-assembled/returned bike that someone had already owned and put together
and then returned to you. The reason I say this is the first bike was
fully put together as much to fit into the box as the parts I had to attach
to the new bike were already assembled on the first one.
The returned bike is scheduled to be delivered to you tomorrow by FEDEX
tracking #__________ . I would have someone take a look at it as I did
nothing but remove it from the box and put it right back in the box. How
you see it is how I received it which is nothing like the
replacement you sent me.
I have been riding Raleigh for decades and loved them all, but this is
leaving a very bad taste in my mouth about ever purchasing another Raleigh
bike."
Here are some pictures of what I received:
The fork shipping spacer was missing, the forks were crushed and twisted to the right and I could not open them up to even get the wheel on for pictures..

I was going to joke ... "Oh, i see ... get some whatever bike for the wife to cover you buying yourself the bike you've always wanted ... "
I guess I will wait until Raleigh gets intestinal outflow straight and you get the bike you deserve. (and I hope that wasn't it.)
