Technically it is my wife’s cat, she is the cat person. She gets naming rights.
I am the dog person, so I get to name the dogs.
The female is named Lucy, I was born in Cuba and always wanted to be able to say, “Lucy I am home...”
The male is named Panther...for obvious reasons.
Panther and Lucy making sure that I am working.

My kid and daughter in law are staying with us for the pandemic. They brought their one dog and two cats. This is Chicken the cat. She is beautiful but has a bad temper. If you look at her she hisses.

One interesting thing I learned recently, even though I’ve had cats for 20 years all the time: Tricolor cats can only be females due to the specificity of genetic color combinations. Nature always holds surprises ...

Well, I didn't think we'd be getting a pet at all after Emma past away in 2008… our lifestyles had changed to the point that whilst we could look after one, it wasn't ideal.
On Monday, my grandmother suffered an unfortunate accident in her home that left her with serious acquired brain injury, she's in Brisbane's RBWH in palliative care now, practically "God's waiting room" (as Spike Milligan would put it). Sad, because Mother's day is just around the corner, and after successfully fighting off bowel cancer, was making a read hot go of independent living, at one point doing a routine at a local gym to stay fit.
As my other grandmother once said though: "you don't come into this world with a guarantee stamped on your back side!"
That has left the welfare of her cat in question, we were basically the only ones in the family that could take on a cat, so here he is. Moved in yesterday, and has been quietly exploring the place. Sam is a Russian Blue, getting used to us in the house hold, and while he's not a really touchy feely sort of cat, I think his presence will be welcome. It's better than him being sent to a pet orphanage, at least he knows us.

Remember: you don't adopt a cat, you're employed as servants. Sam looks somewhat pleased.

My father is trying to have his dinner, and she was crawling all over him for it.
She also liked to study telecommunications theory:

BTW, she found me in 2001 when not quite an adult. That makes her at least 19 years old.

It's been over a week now, and Felix still lives in his shoe box. You'd think that there really isn't any room to spare ...
... but you'd be wrong. This box fits at least two:

Latte managed to find her way to my back porch, and called to me as a kitten last September. Very shy, but calling to me and answering to my voice. Here she is on her first tentative entry into the window, still fluffy kitten fuzz.
And a month or so ago.
And her Album on BikeForums.

T'would appear he has also been employing it to keep his dentition in good nick.
Methinks that when it gets down to a small piece of pasteboard just a few cms square he shall still be employing it for his homebase...
