Lugged Hybrids
As a fan of the Trek 700 series hybrids - especially the 1990-93 models that were Wisconsin-made lugged steel - I got to wondering what other lugged steel hybrids are out there?
Here's what I've seen:
Trek 700 series 1990-94
Bianchi Project 3/5/7
Bianchi Boardwalk (Taiwan)
Schwinn Crosscut, CrissCross
What else?
(I assume we're all speaking the same "hybrid" language, ie 700c wheels, flat-ish bars, cantilever/V-brakes...)
Pictures would be great, as well as year(s) made and country of manufacture.
Mike

Drop a year on the Trek 7xx series as the '94 were not lugged. Do you count a Trek 520 that can was turned into a hybrid?
I've seen some Bridgestone XO bikes with lugs, but don't the specifics.

I meant 90-93 - my bad; I knew it was a 4-year run.
I love the Bridgestone XOs, but they are kind of an outlier in the pure "hybrid" sense (is there a "pure hybrid") because most ran 26' wheels. I don't recollect off the top of my head, without a BS catalog search, if they made any LUGGED 700c XOs.

My 1990 CrissCross has a lugged frame but my 1993 CrossCut doesn’t.
The CrossCut is 90+% completely redone , The CrissCross rebuild has begun .
Both will become 3x8 gearing with 11-32 cassette and new Acera derailleur. New wheels and tires , V-brake conversion, raised riser handlebars , new shifters and cables .
The CrossCut will be finished once I swap out the pedals , when it warms up enough to allow me to concentrate on getting the old , stuck pedals off .
Both will have Brooks aged B-67 saddles .
I think these are made in either Taiwan or Japan . They have become my favorite bikes to ride .

OK - my curiosity was piqued about the Bridgestone XOs and which ones were 700c and were any of them lugged, so I went back through teh catalogs and here's what I found.
The XOs were listed for three years, 92-94.
In 92 there were three models. The XO-1 and XO- 2 were 26' wheels, the XO-3 was 700c and NOT lugged.
In 93 they increased the line to 5 models. Only the XO-5 was 700c, again NOT lugged. It looks nearly identical to the 92 XO-3.
In 94, again five models, but now the XO-4 and XO-5 were 700c. NEITHER was lugged.
It looks like the 26' Lugged XO bikes were Japanese; the tigged 26' and all the 700c XOs were Taiwanese. NO lugged 700c Bridgestone XOs
BUT...
in 91 and 92 Bridgestone made the RB-T, which for all practical purposes was a Lugged, Japanese-made hybrid. 700c wheels, cantilever brakes. The most noticeable difference between it and other lugged hybrids available at the tie is that it was spec'd with drop bars. To all appearances, a cyclocross bike.

I have a '93 Bianchi Avenue, (shown) and my wife has a '94 Advantage, which was one model up. (no pic) Both were bought new. I'm not sure how many years they made these lugged frames.

Not lugged, but
:90-97 Mongoose Dynametric and Crossway models were very nice and well made frames, great geometry, with mostly crappy parts. When you find them they are cheap.
I think the best lugged hybrids you have covered, Schwinn's and Trek's.
