Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I love the quad headlights on those. Used to have a Malibu Classic Wagon like that.

He listed a couple of things that could cause it, but my impression was that it stemmed from the tension, one way or another, and that having physical therapy address it, through whatever combination of stretching, massage, exercise, etc, was the best bet. If that doesn't work, he said that an MRI may be in order.

The oral steroid is for inflammation and I get the impression that it's perhaps temporary relief until the therapy sessions kick in.
I hope it's not what I had. Originated in the neck, crossed the clavicle, through the shoulder and down into the triceps, whence lodged the most severe pain. It took a month off the bike, to heal

$12-22 starting around here. Gotta know how to rebuild air rockshox and Fox, setup/repair electronique shifting, and do the hydros to start at a shop for around $20 tho.

I’ll just make the general observations that a. the nerves in the arm come out of the spine in the neck and go right under the collarbone, over the armpit, and into the arm, so only a bad neck would be a factor and b. without pain, tingling is more likely related to a problem somewhere in the arm, itself. These things are often diagnosable with reasonable accuracy, based on the location of the symptoms.
It's possible that I'm putting words in his mouth - he did ask specifically about my neck (I mentioned that, on a particular bike ride, I had difficultly looking over my left shoulder when checking for traffic, but that had eased) - and confounding lines of tension with nerve paths. Essentially all of the pulling muscles from hand to upper back are tight and, at the worst, it felt like someone pulling a string along that line. That was actually before the tinglies, though. And I haven't quite gotten a handle on what sets it off, either. Tying my shoes definitely does, but other than that I haven't noticed a particular position.

Yeah, all roads lead to PT at his point, I guess. Hope it gets better soon!

I was looking for a pic, last week, and found 7000 pics of the dark of night, taken at 2:14 AM. It took three days s to delete them, after which they returned immediately. I then had the bright idea to go through my apps' permissions, and remove 'camera' from all but two. The next deletion of 6000+ photos happened immediately, and they have not returned. My storage went from 39% to 22%. The sd card lost a lot too.

I retired from the US Public Health Service (aka Fake Navy) with the rank of Captain (O-6). I retired into the exact same job, which is a pretty neat trick, if I say so myself. I now hold the much higher rank of civilian and bask in the gratitude of my countrymen.

Well it seems our lowball-offer-people might be serious after all. Their response to our counter offer was questioning whether we really have the standard mast (we do) and not the race mast (we don’t). And ‘how big is the spinnaker in its bag and where do you store it when underway?’ And ‘is the draft actually 7 ft as advertised?’ Why, yes it is.

ha they are thinking where they’re going to go, how fast they’re going to get there and who is gonna sleep where if they bring the spinnaker.

They sound like fairly serious sailors in addition to buyers! Hope the survey goes smoothly.

There's a line that we walk (ride) that we occasionally cross, simply because of the self-absorbed asswipes that slide behind the steering wheel. Pick your battles wisely, if at all possible, and embrace the advocacy.

All my common sense, even my language skills, disappear when the red light goes on and the buzzer sounds. If giving money is advocacy, I'm covered, but my behavior today was a terrible negative advertisement for cyclists and cycling.

The only true cure for road rage(for me) was to leave that country. This is not to say there aren't idiot drivers everywhere, but some places there is a much smaller pool. They are not moving as fast. And they are not nearly so entitled to own the road.

And, daily severe road rage was a big factor in our leaving. We lived outside of a town of four thousand. Perhaps there was something else going on which manifested itself as road rage.

And now, when the red light comes on and the buzzer sounds, my spanish is perfect.
