Campy Centaur 11 Speed RD Shifter Stuck?
A new thread as suggested.
I realized my rear derailleur shift mechanism (brand new Centaur 11 speed), seems stuck. It was OK when i mounted it and routed the cable/housing, it shifted a few times and worked, then kind of stuck. Pushing on the thumb lever does nothing, though pushing on the lever does move it. I am guessing cable tension may not have been high enough, not sure?
I also noticed the cable at the right hand shift unit would no longer come out of housing if pushing on cable. I know it did this as i pulled or pushed the cable back a bit to cut housing after checking length, etc. All seemed good and straightforward.
So, this morning, i took a quick look and realized the ratchet does not seem to be unwinding as I can see cable looped around the spool by looking with a light where the cable enters the mechanism from underneath the unit.
Not sure why this would happen, but more importantly can it be corrected without much pain and agony.....
Any help as always appreciated, this is apparently not as simple as it seems!
Getting itchy to get this machine going, i'll put out some photos if and when it works.

OK, a big woo hoo! Got home from work and went downstairs to have a look see. It might be possible that folded over hood was preventing wheel from moving toward smaller rear cog. Will restart tonight or tomorrow and get it set up.

Do everything with tension in the cables, though. That is how they are designed to work...

Yep, got RD shifting OK, waiting for my FD Campy widget (FD-CE011) to get it all set up. I think I'm on my way, at least until next issue.
