Campagnolo record pista hub axle conversion 10mm to 8mm?
I was building up a new NJS frame when I realised my Campagnolo pista hubs don't slot in the rear 8mm drop outs.
I'm wondering if it's possible to convert my rear Campagnolo pista track hub axel 10mm x 120mm to an 8mm x 110mm?

Not easily. You'd have to source axle and cones ground for 1/4" balls to fit the 8mm axle.
While you could, as @SquidPuppet suggests above, file the dropouts to accept a 10mm axle, a better solution might be to file flats on the axle to fit the 8mm slot. That way you wouldn't be altering the NJS aspect of the frame.
N.B. while I'm not really familiar with the minutia of NJS certification requirements, I can say that the Shimano track dropouts I have here have a standard 10mm slot.
I can't think of a reason why NJS would want an 8mm rear axle. Even standard front axles are 9mm.
While you could, as @SquidPuppet suggests above, file the dropouts to accept a 10mm axle, a better solution might be to file flats on the axle to fit the 8mm slot. That way you wouldn't be altering the NJS aspect of the frame.

I got the frame in such good condition. I really didn't want to start altering the frame what so ever.

And now you bought more? You have a nice Makino frame - what's wrong with building it with NJS, or at least nice Jap, bits? Won't cost any more than Campy. Are you trying to be unusual? What's next - Miche wheels?

there are njs stamped campy parts out there. i owned a terribly pitted bb at one point.
ive heard of ppl using the dura ace conversion kits on non shimano hubs before too. i wouldnt do it.

Don't worry I have the NJS parts to build the frame up if needs be, I would prefer the sherif's as my hubs is all.
