3d Printers are simultaneously very fast and really slow. My average print is probably about 8hrs. In a little over a year, my printer has 80 days of print time. Most of the time it's a about 20min with the slicer, 8-10hrs of printing, and 15min of clean-up and install.

Or the precision of the guard width and stiffness of the material. I would aim to make the guard thickness slightly greater than the space thickness, even sanding it down on the reverse face to achieve it, so that it is pinched tight but not crushed before contact is made with the spacers.
