Mid Drives on Recumbent Trikes



This is Matt's creation, fabrication of the idler setup and has had a motor manufacturer setup the 750 watt motor to better interface with components he has built. This particular trike has (2) 750 watt motors.



This video shows better the custom drive mechanism. The large aluminum sprocket among other components were CNC machined.


I am moving toward retrofitting my ICE NT (narrow track) to a mid drive system. The mid drive serves generally for hills.

I'm not much interested in the motor, but what about that body? Is it something you made or a kit? More pics?
