Well with the start to the summer season, and 2016, I would love to win a one of our club trophies (not aiming too high) just a little harder if the Big guns keep rocking up.
Other than that i want to be racing Bgrade in the weekly club races by the end of the season, would be happy with just sitting mid pack. (currently riding C and winning the odd race.)

As its part of my goal as mentioned earlier, I'm after a turbo trainer as the weather in north west england is horrendous. What should I be looking out for? I've noticed a new wave of trainers with data capabilities such as syncing with software to record distance etc, I'm assuming you end up compromsing in build quality. I'm not looking to spend more that £250.
After a quick search a poster linked an article as follows:

On the Up, up, up website Carl Brewer recommends a Kurt Kinetic Road machine or the Cycle Ops 2 with the Kinetic top of the list.

Ive always wanted to post a sub 5m pursuit as well, and although in my mind Im 'close', when I set the schedule up and have to ride .6s faster I quickly forget it
Im pretty sure I can run that pace for 3k, but I really fall apart in the last few (5) laps at that speed.

This could be a decent start of a new/separate thread as I'm looking to replace my fluid trainer mainly to get better standing start workouts. At my home track, they use TruTrainers and those are pretty good (adjustable resistance, integrated flywheel) but they are super expen$ive. I'm all ears on recommendations for budget friendly, track friendly trainers.
Also for the record, Carl is having good results with the Kickr trainers and highly recommends them

Also, I'm acquiring the final piece (steering unit) for my Tacx Neo trainer. When fully integrated with the software I will be ride anywhere in the world via Google Street View while remaining in my basement. For now, I ordered a series of famous TDF climbs: Mont Ventoux, Col de Marie-Blanque, Col du Soulor , Col du Tourmalet, Col du Télégraphe, Col du Galibier, and L’Alpe d’Huez. I figure if I can make up these beasts, I'll make my desired pursuit time next summer.

At this point I just need to train, I opened up Golden Cheetah the other day and the last logged ride was from August!! That means I've only been on the bike about 20 times since then. I was moved to another department in work, the workload is much more demanding than before and it looks to be affecting me physically and mentally.
Until I can find a new job I need to make it as easy as possible to get on the bike and ride, as much for my health as getting faster.
Ha ha I'd second that, especially the last photo, looks like agony. Give me speed any day

Can I just say, yuck?

I feel personally offended by any climbing content.

1. Finish Manchester Velodrome Accreditation process (Stage 1 of 4 done, open sessions booked to learn stage 2 drills)
Second open session done. Legs were feeling a bit heavy to start and I was worried it was going to be a rubbish one, but after a warm up, I was doing well. Didn't manage to get into the fast pace line (there were 3 really fast, experienced riders) but that was just down to fitness, which will improve. By the end, I was moving about the track much easier (specifically up track) and it felt much easier riding around the top. Just need to get stage 2 of accreditation booked, but they're never at convenient times

Heavy Sigh. Looks like the only racing my wife will let me do next year is the TT series.

VanceMac, I would be riding in them except after waking up after Natz I promised my wife no more mass start races, and she reminds me of that promise often. Maybe with more time....

Hopefully ride York velodrome during my 2016 visit to York. Rained out last year.
Otherwise compete in CO state masters.
