Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This is going to get rough.

I will sea your Texas oil well.
Raise one Yellow Anchor with The Yellow Bike.

I apologize for being on the bike. But lets say that will add to the Odd Ball in the thread title.

Pretty cool. Where's the anchor at?

I remember when I was a kid, being at the community center in Texas City where they had the anchor from the Grandcamp, more or less in the place where it landed after the explosion. But seems like here a few years ago, they were supposed to make that into some kind of memorial- so I just wondered if that was it?

Meanwhile, here's a 30" gate valve for a water main.

Different anchor in Texas City. I have a pic of that one somewhere.

See your valve and raise you and Orange Barricade.

The anchor was in Galveston at the entrance to a ship yard that transported sulfur.

Along the QEW in Ontario.

Here's a picture of an OLD bike. The oddball thing riding it claims he has snakes in the box.

No, because they would be constantly banging against the seatpost as I accelerate. That would be painful, since most of my time is spent droping the hamer.

I think we have a winner. Googling "inukshuk" pulls that right up.

Gained more world-wide attention this past year, because of the Toronto Olympics logo.
