Interesting wheel/rim
I picked up a bike from the early/mid 1990s with an interesting wheelset. The hubs were Shimano RSX and the rims were Mavic 196. I’ve never seen that rim before, nor have I seen a Mavic rim shaped like this. I can’t find any info on the rims - nothing of VeloBase. Do any of you have any opinions or knowledge of these Mavic rims?

It looks (section and lack of eyelets) like a rim from a 90s "cross" bike.

Those were relatively cheap OEM rims from that period, had them on an RSX-equipped Diamondback Expert that was briefly in my possession.
The rear wheel went wildly out of true in short order, mainly due to poor spoke tensioning I imagine. Seemed to be relatively soft alloy, and narrow.
