November 2019 100 Mile/km Thread

I’ve missed my goal for the past two months, so I’m going to aim low this month to avoid disappointment. My goal is more miles than last November, so I’ll shoot for 400 miles. What are your riding plans for this month?

With the accident and the weather changing so much so fast , I’ll be happy if I can do 100 miles this month .
We’re supposed to have below freezing wind chill in the morning . Two weeks ago it was in the mid 90’s around here .
I’ve seen 70’s on Christmas Day , so until after the first of the year , I should have some good days .

Yep, it was 34 degrees here in the Dallas area this morning. That’s cold enough for me not to ride.

Goal is 200+, but the weather just turned cold here, and with diminishing daylight that may be ambitious.

November Goal: 225 miles

I want to be realistic and set myself up for success - with the days getting shorter and the temps getting colder... my goal is 225 miles this month. The good news is, if I get my monthly goal this time around, I will also get my 2,000 mile goal for 2019, and December miles will be bonus miles.

November 2 - 19.4 miles
November 5 - 7.2 miles

November to date: 26.6 miles

2019 to date: 1831.9 miles

2019 goal: 2000 miles

Thanks! But it was pretty flat so other than a strong headwind, no elevation to deal with today.

Another 31 today. Spinning in my small ring ride 16.3 average speed. Not much effort, just a nice ride.

No goals, just riding.

81 miles for the month so far.

So I says to myself...Matt, you should probably throw in some extra elevation on your rides this month. It'll make you stronger, I said. So I've changed my routes up to get about 50% more climbing than I normally get. I don't know if it will make me stronger or not, but after three days, I'm feeling it, I can tell you that! Man, am I tired!

11-05-19 3.5
MTD 3.5
YTD 591.25

70 degrees today , still a little sore and bruised, but I had to get started back .
I think riding will increase blood flow and help me heal quicker .
Rode the Electra Cruier 1 single speed .
I know 3.5 miles isn’t much , but it’s a start . Felt good to get the wind blowing in my face .
I will have to admit , even though my neighborhood streets were mostly bone dry , I got a little anxious every time I took a sharp turn the first couple of miles .
