the Beast turns 1000
finally hit 1000 miles on the beast we bought with the stimulus money. we get from 10 to 30 miles a day on it. since it has standard Bosch batteries they can be exchanged with my commuter bike. my wife is blind and loves to ride with me for some reason. we do a little off road but the trails need to be hard packed and sharp doglegs means walking around them. spent a lot of time getting it setup for her as she had no clue what she needed and changing the bike to fit us all new bars all the gearing was changed bu the front chainring. we wanted better climbing and the nI put a cadence sensor on both cranks we found she was 10 rpms after then me so it meant more gearing change. and How to deal with the timing change if out dos not fit. Hey tandems have a elliptical bb that you can rate how cool.

It sounds like an excellent use of the stimulus money.
Congratulations on hitting the first thousand. I am sure there will be many more.

Congratulations! I’m pleased to see you have sorted the cadence problem and are enjoying your rides. Nice photos!

yes well it works well but I could not find a 46t chainring to get it perfect only a 48 now my wife peddles about 4 rpms slower but that works out fine and we can peddle at 24 mph how and climb well so it worked out.
