A giant tub (ok, a whopping 22.5oz) of phil wood grease and a new cygolite tail light after having lost my old one whilst crossing an old rickety wooden suspension bridge. I so wish that more bike light manufacturers would add optional screws for attaching the light to the clip/strap to prevent it from coming loose from the clip...

If you HAVE to ride clinchers they might as well be decent ones, with every attempt to keep them supple.
Doesn't hurt that they are vintage appropriate with nice light sidewalls.

I have the tubular version of the Corsa G and it's the fastest (As in least rolling resistance), best riding set of tires I presently have. I wonder how the clincher version compares.

Vittoria makes some pretty fine tires. In my view, they are one of the best tire companies. The top companies are clearly better than the others, so when I want a good tire, I go for one of them. Vittoria, Panaracer, Continental, Schwalbe, Michelin, maybe one or two more.

Running 2 sets of tubular VeloFlex 25s today. Tan wall on vintage, black on modern. Waiting to mount the 28s next tubie change.
The store was out of the Veloflex Master in black&tan wall. My choices for on-the-spot delivery were Rally, Paselas or these (at a very fair price), so I splurged on latex tubes.
Going on nice wheelset obtained from @Drillium Dude. These are for the Zeus as the wheel hubs are a match. Like I said, if you have to run clinchers they might as well be good ones, . Will reply to @Chombi1 regarding ride impressions versus my tubie experience. I have a feeling that new folding clinchers with latex tubes on lightweight wheels are the same road feel as tubular. Hoping for the round profile and consistent feel in corners at faster speeds the Velos deliver. Long live good tires.

On a different subject and off-topic, I finished reading Shop Class As Soul Craft while on vacation last week. Very interesting read. Thanks for the recommendation. I happened to mention it to my next door neighbor who is retiring as a special-needs teacher. She said it was a great book too.

Corsa G? Hmm, I may have to go back to Vittoria for at least another trial. As for size, call me old school but I've never bought into the idea that you need at least 25mm. There are several reasons the pro's would do it but none of them apply to me as a recreational cyclist. I (believe I) can feel small weight differences in total tire+rim weight and I like the feel of smaller tires. <This is not an attempt to start a tire war. Wrong thread anyway.>

Just a rear derailleur cable stop, well four of them actually but I only needed one.
I bought a 3Rensho built Specialized Allez a few years ago that someone hacked up. Cable guides and stops removed. I could have simply had the Campagnolo cable guides and stops that came with the frame brazed in place but I wanted an authentic restoration if possible. Only problem was I couldn't figure out who made these stops, in fact I still don't know who made these stops, I just happened upon them on a Belgium eBay store. These stop are similar to many but not the same, and of much nicer quality, as far are braze on bits go. Only ever seen these used on a couple brands, 3Rensho and Miyata being the main ones.

I tried the narrow ones. They're good for narrow tires, but I prefer them wider. And they didn't last well at all.
