I wanted a new red Ferrari, but couldn't afford it so bought this Italian beauty instead
2003 Bianchi Vigorelli, Ultegra Groupo, and upgraded with an E3 Form Titanium Saddle, ITM Millenium Wing Shape Carbon bars, and ITM/Bianchi AL/Carbon Stem (don't tell me to flip it cuz I got a pot belly -- but its shrinking).
Also added: Cateye Double Wireless Computer, Italian Road Bike Mirror, Deuter Bike Bag III, Bebop Cromoly Pedals, Tacx Tao Water Bottle Cages, and Vittoria Diamante Pro tires.
Here's my "trainer," a 1991 Diamondback Topanga w/Continental Goliath 1.6" slicks + Kidcruisers Trailer carrying 1-2 kids

Here's my new 2006 Giant TCR C3. I'm using my Crank Bros Eggbeater pedals until I decide which road pedals to buy. I'm a professional photographer, hence the absence of a white garage door...

Ain't nothing wrong with keeping the Eggbeaters on that bike. However, if you like the ease-of-entry, look into the Quattro SL's.

I thought they were studio/factory shots until I read your post.
It's always intrigued me - how does one get that great in-focus look on a completely white background? Photoshop? A studio? A really nice white wall?
Awesome bike, though.

I wonder if photographers are like magicians and never reveal their secrets.

Its a San Marco Ponza, comes stock with bike. I haven't ridden the bike enough to really comment. Two friends with the same saddles (and similar Bianchis) said they found it very uncomfortable so they changed to Avatars. I've got an avatar on my mtb so I'll see how things go and if necessary i can switch them.
Sorry I can't be of more use but when I get to ride some more i will tell you.

To get that in-focus look, all you have to do is focus the camera... Of course, it helps to have a professional SLR camera that allows you to control the focus and the f-stop. Adjusting the f-stop changes the depth of field in the image, which controls how much is in focus.
To create the white background, I used a 9 foot wide roll of white paper. To create the black background, I used a roll of black paper. Even when you use the paper, though, the backgrounds will not be perfect. I use Photoshop to touch-up the images.
The images were lit with three Speedotron strobe heads in softboxes. The lights were positioned carefully to show the detail of the surfaces.
For most people, I think a white garage door and natural light are sufficient.
