Adaptive Cycling: Handcycles, Amputee Adaptation, Visual Impairment, and Other Needs Have a need for adaptive equipment to ride to compensate for a disability or loss of limb or function? This area is for discussion among those of us in the cycling world that are coming back from traumatic circumstances and tell the world, "No, you are not going to beat me down!"

Well went to see the consultant today and the results from the neck dissection biopsy were in, they were negative.

So it looks like I am in the clear.

Funny thing is, once cancer has touched you and your closest, you are never the same again. No wild partys, screaming with joy, just a relief and a realisation of how much stress you hold inside over the course of the treatment. Will it always be at the back of your mind it could come back? For sure.

Nothing is a given in life, but try and enjoy simple things every day. That reminds me of the series “Twin Peaks” where agent Cooper (Kyle McLachlan) sits and has a coffee every morning and savours it saying;

Harry, I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Everyday, once a day, give yourself a present. Don’t plan it, don’t wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the Men’s store. A catnap in your office chair. Or two cups of good, hot black coffee. Like this.”
