New Commuter from Ohio

Hello all, I am a new bicycle owner as well as commuter as of just a week ago right outside or Akron Ohio. This is something I have thought about doing for about the last year and a half and have been on a fitness kick since December of last year (down 30lbs). I went out to my local bike shop that was highly recommend to me by my coworkers. My purchase was a Trek Dual Sport 2 with everything I'd need (at least for now) to commute my 3 miles each way to work. I came across this forum as I am trying to learn more and more from others who ride frequently as well as commute. If you have an Instagram dedicated to biking please comment below with your username and I'll follow you!

Welcome to Bike Forums from Michigan. Congrats on the weight loss, too.

Welcome. Commuting is perfect, at least for me. It clears my head for getting to work and forgetting at the other end.

Thank you! I would agree so far as I don't think about work on the way there but instead, take the time to enjoy the ride.
