We're well on our tandem way! We're fortunate to have a fantastic, friendly Tuesday group ride with no shortage of cameras. This was our 10th tandem ride and we're on an 18% grade hill and passing single bikes! Tandem + 2 climbers = fast tandem climbing! Loving our machine.

Here's a couple pics of us on our new Co-motion Carrera, replacing our 1980's Burely. Wow, what an improvement!

This route takes us on a ferry where our tandem saves us money! They charge per bicycle instead of per bicyclist. What an excellent reason to take out the tandem.

^^^ clean, shiny. Purrrdy. Your cycling position/bike fit looks quite good too

From the ferry photo, the stoker saddle might be a touch tilted upward compared to captain's. My stoker would hate me for that. If you do go alter the angle to more horizontal, her position over the pedals might change a bit too, so recheck that (plumb bob from just below the kneecap to pedal spindle is a standard).

We definitely got in sync on the tandem - in our case, tandem, then marriage.

Why do you say that? On a long hill or a steep hill a strong tandem team can climb as well or better than a single rider of the same ability.

Having been a printer (for newspapers) and done a bit of free lance writing, am ashamed that I made another typo!
Got to proofread my stuff before hitting the send button!
Perhaps my advancing age (only 82) and that English was my fifth language . . . I can be excused?
Pedal on!

Thanks, CoMotionRider. I think there might be some trolling going on.

FYI, Bad1, my avatar is at the finish of the Mt Washingtion hillclimb. 12% average grade, 45mph winds.

We're still kicking "single" butt. Soooooo much fun!!

Loving, loving tandeming!

Can't really see how happy or not we were. (Very happy to be able to get in a ride on December 14. Last tandem ride in 2013 was mid-November.)

Much cheaper than heated grips or gloves. My wife cant ride in the winter without them. When its really cold for her we drop in some disposable hand warmers.
