You two are hilarious. You keep the forum active which is cool.
I'm focusing on a felt tk3 now. Can't get them locally so I'll have to see if racycles would be willing to ship to my hotel room when I'm in the US later this month.

So, that means that the actual weight could vary by as much as 3 pounds by that method. Anyways, I weighed my 45cm Dolan Pre Cursa with an accurate digital scale, and it's 18.7 lbs, which is 1.2 lbs heavier than my Leader 721tr, so the Dolan is not particularly lightweight, although it certainly is much lighter than my old VISP frameset that it replaced. If you want something really light, find an old Bianchi Pista Concept frame with a Super Pista fork, and you could end up with a sub 17 lb bike including road bars with hooded brake levers and a front brake.

Ha. Will open it up on Monday.
Here are my 2 choices. None I've seen in person but the geometry is fine and I am prioritizing weight:
1) 2013 felt tk3 for 820
2) 2014 langster in black for 690
The tk3 I will need new standard drop bars and both bikes I will need some plastic pedals which accept straps. May consider those 2 sided spd pedals and ride on the platforms with random shoes when the commute calls for rain.
Which option would be lighter? One site said the langster is 20lbs and another said 17(7.8kg).
The felt is rated at 17.5 from felt.
Leaning towards the langster cause it's cheaper. I think Both bikes I will need to buy a ss cog as well.

The langster, a dealer would have to order it in for me and I would pick it up when I'm in the states.
No local shops here can get the one I want which is just regular one in black.

I find it difficult to believe that they can't order it. (unless Specialized requires minimum quantities when oddering.) Anyway, I agree with the guys who suggested converting a road frame.

My Wabi Lightning 55 cm (the no longer made, sorry OP, scandium frame) weighs 13.7 pounds with a front brake and bottle cage. I used Novatec hubs (road front) to Kinlin XR 300's and bladed spokes (32R-28F) to build the wheels and a smattering of excellent price-to-weight ratio parts. The only downside is the torturous saddle that doesn't let me make rides longer than 40 miles.
