Garmin 510 crazy after return from trip

This morning my Garmin 510, which has never had any real issues showed 0 items displayed on my training page. I went through the settings to change to 6 items to display, hit the check mark button and then back whereupon the device shows that there are 0 items displayed on that training page. Other settings would not save as well. I performed a factory reset, no dice. I plugged in to the computer to make sure software was up to date, it synched and is up to date but no dice.

Any ideas?

On my 810, this stuff is set in the Activity profile (maybe bike profile, can't remember). On like 2occasions, the unit switched profiles and I needed to switch back to get the correct training page.

No, sorry my wording is probably not precise. I can not change any settings. They are not saved after switching to any different screen. Everything keeps reverting to some random (useless) setting, like zero items displayed for any training page.

Last thought here is to let the garmin on until it runs the battery down and then recharge. Grasping at straws now...

Chatted with an agent this morning. He walked me through reformatting using a PC and it worked!

Their phone seems to good. I had to use them once when a software upgrade buried a feature I used and I could no longer find it.

I have a 510 and a couple of weeks ago it locked up after the battery had run down. I had to go through the reset process and it works fine now.
