Following half of them on the Instagram leads me to believe that the two from the first round are either out of the junior program or at their first world's, the future I suspect

USA qualified first in the team pursuit and word on Facebook is that Chloe Dygert was on the front for the last 6.5 laps.
Which makes me reckon that she'll win the IP again. I'd love to see how much she can smash the IP WR by if she races it at altitude.

I always find it interesting when people who we expect to be at an event don't show.
The Russians sent 14 men but not Shane Perkins. He seemed to be training leading up to this event.
The Dutch had Roy Van Den Berg on the roster, but I don't think he rode. He was also looking forward to racing.
I hope both are not injured. I wonder what happened.

I heard one of the commentators say Van Den Berg was chosen as a potential injury replacement, suggesting that he wasn't really in contention for a starting spot. But I think it's a hard sell to replace Thoenderdall when he's doing 10.4" 125m splits and 17" standing laps.

Perko wasn't eligible because his nationality change didn't go through until early 2017.

Also I don't remember which thread the discussion on the KGF guys' bike setups was, but apparently both Charlie Tanfield and Dan Bigham's positions ran afoul of the UCI comms. Tanfield had to adjust his accordingly. Just heard the commentators discussing it.

(in all fairness, just from pictures, I've wondered how they didn't get called up to this point... I wonder what the actual problem was)

Chloe Dygert just took two seconds off the IP World Record with a 3.20.072!!!!!

Dygert rode 3:20.060 in Apeldoorn where the elevation is 16 m (52 ft).
This is HUGE.
She just saved the team some airfare
