I had switched out the original saddle for a Fujita Pro at the time.

I just rebuilt an early 70s Fuji Finest I picked up a year or two ago. I think it may be a '70-71 as it lacks a serial number and the Fuji website (back when it still existed suggested that the Fujis without serial numbers were imported '70-71). I built the bike up to do some climbing in Wisconsin where I go riding on a fairly regular basis (and there are some serious hills there) with a SR Apex triple crank (48/38/28 rings). I also tried to build the bike with almost entirely Japanese parts (the saddle is a selle anatomica though). The bike is a lot of fun to ride and surprisingly light (24.5 lbs with a leather saddle which isn't bad for a fully chromed chrome moly frame).

Bikes: Wow, where to start? A collection of 1980's and early 90's road, touring, and MTBs from the likes of Trek, Schwinn, Cannondale, Fuji, Miyata, Univega, Panasonic, and GT. It has gotten rather out of control.

I now have two 1984 TS IVs in the garage. They both have the original foam grips and both are in pretty amazing condition for their age. I'm not a fan of the aesthetics of the foam, but I don't think it detracts too much from the looks or function. I will replace it when it starts to fail, but for now, it's only original once!

These are spectacular machines - I have lust for one of these Fuji Series IVs, and keep an eye open for one in 59/60cm -- seems like most are 57 or 63?

The local shop was doing a resto-mod clinic last month, so they had a few older bikes to sell for anyone interested in pursuing a project. I got this S12-S LTD for $75. It had fenders and a rack on it, as well as most of the original components. I just wanted to make it road worthy so I could make a decision on how to proceed. It has a rattle can paint job and homemade decals which don't look horrible from 10 feet. I was impressed with the ride on the first shakedown run. Paint will the first thing, but it will be something besides black, maybe dark blue, like the Finest up above.

Late to the cult of Fuji but here is the Finest bike i own along with a shameless plug for an invite to the other group.
This one has the oval fork and "the Finest" script on the TT.

K7E00?8? There is a hole drilled in the BB in the place of the first ?

I picked this 86 Fuji team back in November seems to be almost all original except for the front wheel, it has a problem with the fork apparently the legs of the fork have been squeezed together so the wheel is extremely tight can anybody tell me if this is repairable or do I need to find a new fork
