Noticing A Lot Of Cars For Sale Lately?
Maybe because it's that I recently went car free again that I'm noticing this...
But everywhere I look I seem to see a vehicle with a For Sale sign on it.
Walked to my bank yesterday and over a 2 mile stretch I seen 6 cars parked on the side of the road that were for sale.
That's just on the side I was walking on... didn't pay attention to the other side.

Locally,I seldom see any cars with For Sale signs in them, but I've seen an uptick in the number of new vehicles with dealer logo plates driving around. I suspect that many older cars end up on a used car lot as a trade in, or went to our local auto dismantler, which has been paying some premium prices for older cars, since many locals were holding onto their vehicles for a much longer time.

Haven't noticed one way or the other, but then again the towns around here have a bunch of car lots new and used, but only two bicycle shops to serve over 500,000 people. Small wonder car is king.

Yesterday, I walked a 4 mile stretch to go to Kmart and was going to take pics of all the cars I seen for sale on the side of the road... but they were all gone...lol
I guess they all must be cars of people driving them to work and had the Saturday off.
But I did run into this poor guy that ran out of gas right at a busy intersection.

Or they were sold.

In the right lane
I really don't think there's a run on car sales.
But then, I rarely pay much attention to cars. I can't even distinguish between models any more, except that I do really like the look of those Fiat 500s.
However, if you put a "for sale" sign on a bicycle, I'd certainly pay attention to that

But then again, who would want the surge of stress related to running a business.

The point about the 2014 car sales might be a good one. Slowly but surely car sales have increased every year since the crash. This year GM was UP 8.3 percent YTD, Ford was up 13 percent YTD. Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Volkswagen were all up between 3 and 5 percent YTD. Even BMW was up 6.3 percent, only the Mini was down. Daimler was up 9.8 percent YTD only losing on the smart car.

If I'm spending money on any vehicle it's going to be a small class B RV. other than that I love money in my pocket not going for car repairs or gas.
