I'll give you a pass on the saddle, but how do you explain the front quick release position?

It must have been a painful ride home.

no toe straps? I think some more detailed pics are needed for an ID

I agree. I think we might need to see the tubing decal on the seat tube. It may say Conic or Total Spiral indicating that it's a Colnago conic SLX model. It may indicate something else though. It does look like a Conic SLX similar to the one shown in the bulgier site, 1988 Colnago Catalogue on page 6.

Sounds like it might be Columbus Cyclex "THRON" tubing.

https://2.bp.blogspot.com/_atrK-jBKJK...mbus+thron.jpg

If your frame is made of Thron tubing I think Thron was a mid 90's tube set made from the older Cyclex tube material. It is double butted and probably aimed at the amateur racer looking for a competitive frame.

I think your Colnago's identity probably lies in the mid range of models from the mid 90's era.

Yeah thanks for the reply, from my own research I dated it around the early to mid 90's. I guess it is a guess until colnago finally come back to me if they ever do.
