Addiction LXXVIII

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Seem to be quite a few. I just searched the Gram. Very long list. First hit is in Lodge, Kansas.

Uh huh. That road with high PSI tires is like riding in jorts - it's fine for a little while, but tell me how your nethers are feeling after 62 miles.

Email chain between the wife and I -

Mrs: *forwards hotel confirmation for weekend trip to Duluth*
Me: Cool. Does this mean that I need to step up my training so that I can ride my bike up there and meet you?
Mrs: NO

Looks like some wiggle room in her response, don't ya think?

I used to do that while traveling, because I was up at 5 and nothing opened til 8 or so. Then, during my time in Belize, when we lived in a glorified tent, I did the same thing. The addiction factor becomes quite high, when you reach the point of not being able to get out of bed without your coffee first

Why is it I always have loads of front wheels and not enough rears. Am I the only one?
Anyway, with some fiddling, I have managed to put two wheels on one bike that had none, while putting 27" on a bike that used to have 700C. There is another one here that can be changed out to 27" as well. That one currently has only a front. Of course.

I managed to bang my wounded finger hard enough (twice) that it is now taped to the finger next to it, to keep it out of harm's way.

Obviously undecided. Just needs a little nudge.

WhyFi Mom rides her comfort bike(26" wheeled hybrid) about 8 miles everyday, so it's actually possible that we could ride this together. She's 79 so I won't try it until I know what I'm doing as a Captain, But Mom wants to try it.

The robins like it when I mow. They enjoy hopping around on the freshly-cut lawn.

Today I found a blue pen and $10 bill whilst mowing.

I take it that way. If she were serious, there would be exclamation points after NO. As said, best get on the bike and get crackin' on the distance.
