Shame you don't want a black one. I have one at home that I bought NOS at a bike shop a couple years ago and never mounted it.

I may have one for you... I had a ignorant (old man) moment on ebay this a.m. I made an offer on a silver one and it was accepted. NOS in the box.
I then went out to the garage and low and behold my rear rack is black!

Hello! That is a co-incidence! Ok, humpfh. I wonder how we can do this. Can you leave a visitor's message at my profile?

Ok, sounds great. It is not a more-modern "low-rider" rack, is it? Paul

Will you sell just the front rack?

Black doesn't bother me...It'll only be on the bike when panniers are on it, and "who knows what" else?

I have the original style Blackburn front rack on my commuting cruiser. I've owned the rack since 1983, and it's been on this bike since 1995. When the bike got dragged behind the truck when a carrier arm broke, I taped up the frame and painted the rack in multiple colors to help hide the scrapes and make the bike less-theftworthy. Hey, back then they weren't "collectible" yet.

Just to swerve back on to topic: If your not determined to have a brand matching a set, Vetta and Cycle Pro(?) both made front racks in the same styles and vintage. Soma Fab also makes one, though I think its silver powder coated aluminum, which is weird.
