U-Locks
What do people do with u-locks when riding? I mounted mine to the frame so I could have it w/ me, but it gets in the way and keeps coming loose over bumps. I want to take the mount off, but still have the lock with me - any ideas?

No really though, I just leave my lock on the rack where I commute every day. It saves me from lugging an extra 4 pounds around everywhere.

Seriously though, I pretty much have my messenger bag most of the time, so mine goes in there.

Bikes: highly modified specialized crossroads and GT hybrid (really a [formerly] 12-speed bmx cruiser, made before 'hybrid' took on its current meaning), as yet unmodified redline 925, couple of other projects

i have a really long and tall stem, so i can just hang mine off the bars. used to go in the bag. have also used a mounting bracket, which should be tight enough if set up properly.

Mine goes in the bag, right along side a patch kit and mini-pump. Someone mentioned leaving the lock on the rack, which I have been tempted to do, but that assumes you either have another lock for other destinations, or you only ride your bike to that rack. Also, I've noted at our local train station, the city clears off abandoned bikes, locks, etc. from the racks once every couple of years, so one day you could arrive to your rack with no lock... so I'm inclined to carry.
