Recently bought new handlebars, saddle, and tires for my Leader, I'm more satisfied with the way it looks and performs now.

I found out the scoop. They were required to destroy/dispose of the frame as a warranty measure, most likely so it couldn't be re-sold.

Leader had them post a video of them doing that rather than just sending it back?

Leader told them to destroy the frame, not necessarily to post the video.

Should they have paid to have an international customer ship the frame back so it could be put into a dumpster in San Diego instead?

My 725 was delivered yesterday. I am very impressed with the quality of this frame! The matte pearlescent purple color is crazy, it changes colors depending on the lighting. Either dark purple, bright blue, or a combination of the two. I emailed Leader today and they are going to send me the Leader decals for the downtube for free, good people.

Why do you guys want those tacky decals ? I'd much rather not have them. The decals are barely visible on my old 721tr, and I really like it that way:

I doubt it. It's free advertising, and you made a large purchase from them.

Shoot them an email.

They don't look too bad on your black frame where they kinda blend in, but on lighter color frames I think they look gaudy.

I think it's cool on the other colors too, I just wish they used a cohesive font on the model number.

I absolutely hate the way bike companies load up the bikes with decals nowadays. No one knows how to be understated anymore, but I guess that's what you get when you deal with people who wear spandex in public.

@Huffandstuff We totally get it. Unfortunately our designs have gotten copied to a point where many of the young riders can no longer distinguish who originally designed the 735 for example. They see a black aero bike with no logos on the downtube and do not know what brand made it. At least up close people can tell it is a Leader but from far away it is real hard. What we can say is more of our customers prefer the logo on the downtube. But at the end of the day some of us here at Leader prefer Leader Bikes logo free. It is what it is in the new fixed gear Market.

Leader's logos are still considerable understated when compared to a bike like the Fuji Track Pro, which looks like a ****ing NASCAR with a logo on every tube.

It also makes sense why they chose to add them and based on what customers her at the shop say, I have to agree with them that the logos are generally preferred because they do look good.

I mostly agree with you, it was just a general rant about bike culture. I usually avoid buying clothes with logos on them because I'm not going to pay to be walking advertising. I'm on my phone and too lazy to find a picture but it's stupid how many graphics are on modern road bikes.

@TT I rock Spandex in public too, still doesn't mean it's not silly.
