Basso Gap frame & fork
sold, but not yet shipped. I'm on it, got the box...
Columbus SL frame and fork,
$150 shipped.
Seat tube measures 58.5 c-c, 60 c-t.
ca 1990, two water bottle mounts, down tube shifter bosses, front derailleur braze on mount, cables routed under the BB.
It takes a 27.2 mm seat post, Italian thread BB.
Plenty of scratches on the paint, but no dents.

Son of biscuit... 2 CM too tall or I'd be sending the money quicker than a snap.

Gap
Is that a repaint? All the Gaps I’ve seen had a chromed chainstay.
I rode a Gap for many years and it was truly a great riding bike. Very comfortable, silky smooth, and a joy to ride. I finally moved it along because it was just too big for me.

As others have said, that price is excellent. Would also be all over it if it was smaller.

It is indeed a great riding frame. The first time I took it out for a century I got on a downhill and quickly spun out the gears and was frustrated I couldn't shift into a higher gear. Thinking I'd screwed up the derailleur adjustment, I looked back at the derailleur and realized I was already in my highest gear -- I was going over 40 mph. Didn't feel like it at all!

Probably not a repaint. At some point in the late 80s or around 1990, Basso switched to the two colors on the Gap and other frames. Here is the Gap from the 1992 catalog with the same paint style just different colors:

GLWS! That is a good looking frame for a good price. I wish I had the money.

I hope this bike sells soon, or I might be tempted to buy it for my annoying tall brother or something...

Not a repaint at all, I don't think. Odd placement of top tube guides, though tough to see...

All these posters saying "great price, but too big" and here I am thinking, "great price, if only it were a couple cm taller"...
