Regret ROSS SINATURE

Regret-Ross Signature 294S with all Campagnolo Triomphe components. Bought for $25, cleaned up & restored then sold for over $300. I look at the pics of it & think if I'd sell that I'd probably sell children, (no I don't have any).

Do you have bikes that you'll never sell? Or bikes you regret selling?
That would be the RCA. The F8, Orca and
S-Works SL6... no problem.

So true fellow riders, can’t have your cake and eat it too, and when is enough is enough? For me, I will seek to find a rider who shares my enthusiasm to buy or even to accept a bike for free.

I think you'll need to cultivate those riders.

I knew one guy, a prosthedontist in Berkeley that would fix up bikes for the neighborhood kids to ride.
He did it to develop a love of biking, and avoidance of carbon emissions.
His idea of a good family trip would be visiting the Geneva convention.

Never regretted selling a bike. There’s always a better one to buy. Downsizing = done that a couple of times and it brought me NO JOY! The last time I sold all but one classic, this one was the keeper.

@Drillium Dude, that gold Colnago has got to be the hottest Colnago I've ever seen. What a treasure!

For me, my experience in this hobby has been with low to mid-range bicycles - nothing really worth much monetary value, and nothing I'd have a hard time selling if need be. That doesn't mean I haven't had a blast with this craziness. It would probably be most difficult for me to sell this...

...because it fits and rides so nice.

I know it makes me an oddball, but I actually regret donating my last electro-forged Schwinn - a '72 Suburban I converted to single speed.
For some reason I like EF Schwinns. My current utility bike is a UO-8, and I like it a lot. But I'd be thrilled to put a Continental to that use.

I am a sentimental guy and right now only have 5 bikes (4 and one to deliver tomorrow) and one frame.
Wont sell:
2001 LeMond Nevada City - First “good” bike given to me by my uncle (only other person in family into cycling).
1973 Raleigh Supercourse - Given to me by same uncle as a birthday present (built same year as me)
1984 Schwinn Tempo - Built up because my grandfather bought me one in 1984 before he died (it was stolen a year later)
1992 Merlin Titanium - Beautiful bike. Beautiful ride. Wont come across one again.

Don’t know yet:
198x Mikkelsen Road Special - anxious to build up and ride. Hoping it is like riding a magic carpet.

Frame:
1984 Bianchi Limited - was the first bike I built from frame only. It has gone through many changes and has been ALMOST sold, but I backed out at the last minute.

A '72 Schwinn Suburban. Five speed. Step-through frame. Greeeeen.

Not mine; it's my mom's. She bought it new, before she even met dad. I remember riding in the kiddie seat on the back of that bike.

It's still in great, ridable shape. If it's ever mine to sell for any reason, I won't.
