Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Since we're all here: what are you using to clean your frame of dirt and grease?

Kitchen and bathroom stuff is not working. I got a degreaser but it leaves a residue. Simple Green and Windex not happening.

I'm using 2 Australian brands - krush premium bike wash diluted into a trigger spray bottle 40ml/1 litre. For spot cleans I use Bowden's own clean detail. For protection it's muc off matte finisher.

I use a bucket of water with some car wash liquid and a sponge. Suds it up with the sponge, hose it off and let it dry.

Both bikes are a pain to keep clean. Anyone knows a good wipe to keep these matte bikes looking good?

Little dated, I now have a Specialized Power saddle and Reynolds 62mm SLG wheels for the deeps. Also have 40mm for climbing wheels, that and I have a QRing Aero version on the outer now as well. Rest the same.

2006 CAAD8. Was originally sold as a built R1000, but donated it's components for a carbon build. I got it cheap. Building with SRAM components... Soon...

2010 or so Performance Access XCL9r. Was a gift, to get me riding again...

2016 Hongfu FM079-F with Campagnolo Chorus 11. All the dirty white bits keep you from noticing the dirty matte black finish.

My Scott Addict R1 has a matte finish, but it’s easy to keep clean. Windex and a cotton rag, or Wet Ones in a pinch.

This 2020 Roubaix Expert followed me home last week. I'm not a huge fan of the matte finish, but it's growing on me.
