Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

The weight will go up a bit, but a FS drop bar gravel bike.... sounds fun!!!

the only reason to play with the idea is because , some will argue that Gravel bikes should be MTB with drop bars.

The new Trek Supercaliber would be a good candidate for fs drop bar gravel. 60mm in the rear and it's a strut vs an air shock.

That looks pretty simple, which means they could easily do this to a typical gravel frame (Endurance road geo), but will they?

My original post was more about being FS and the weight, than being a mtb geo. I guess the personal experience for me, has been with riding the hi-mod scalpel. The thing is a rocket. Then again I have spent 3 years on a 32t 1x. My scalpel has a 38T large on a 2x. so yeah gearing changes a lot also.

however 20-21 lb FS 29ers is just nuts light!!!
