Maillard/Spidel 700

Hi...NOS rear Spidel/Helicomatic 700 just dropped off by the tooth bunny. Reality check...axle mic's at 10mm and my pitch gage indicates .08mm. Is that right? .08!? Hollow but want solid. Will a Campy work? I could always thread a piece of Ti rod. Thank you for your feedback.

Campagnolo, at odd-ball Italian 10mm x 26tpi will probably not work. And as Helicomatic rear hubs use odd-ball 5/32" balls rather than standard 1/4" balls, whatever axle you find will have to use the Helicomatic cones.

Brian880-

I think you may have a problem with a solid axle conversion. The 700 Helicomatic uses a unique, fine threaded axle unlike the regular Helicos and unlike other conventional hubs as well as unique cones. Details are here: https://www.borgercompagnie.com/helicomatic/specs.html
