American Super Team
Will any American Company or Organization step up and spend some big money on a cycling squad to challenge Sky Eneos in the future? I think the interest and the $ is out there but will it ever happen again? Does the Postal/Lance/doping dumpster fire still hurt the chances of anyone stepping up in the USA to try this again?

With with few big races in the USA and very little TV coverage of bicycle racing in the USA, it is very hard for US companies to spend huge amounts of money on sponsorships. How many big races have there already been in Europe this year, compared to none in the USA?

US Postal did it.
More people here buying bicycles. It’s getting more popular. I think someone needs to step up.

That was in part driven by the opportunity to tie their brand to a charismatic superstar with a compelling back story.
Is there an equivalent opportunity now?
And as you may have heard, US Postal's experiment didn't end well for all concerned.

Have you got some data to back that up, or is it just your guess? The stats I've seen don't back this up. For example,

The average wholesale price of a bike in 2018 was up 15 percent, from $467 in 2017 to $537 in 2018.
So, bikes are up in cost by about 7.5 x the inflation rate.
And, shops are complaining that sales are down.
There are a LOT of bikes that get traded on the used market. The article mentioned that gravel & electric bikes were up, but those are two sub-markets that aren't saturated yet.
So much else must be feeling the effects of saturation.

The government inflation rate was about 2%
