H Plus Son TB14 vs Pacenti Brevet?
What's you opinion on these rims for use with a vintage road bike?
How do they compare to vintage classics like Mavic Module E, Module E2, Module 3, etc?
Look and feel?
Easy to build, stays true and durability?
TB14 is 0.9 mm lower than Brevet. Brevet is lighter with 450 g compared to TB14s 490 g.
Brevet is a later design and can also be used tubeless.

I've built up the TB14's, ordered a set of the Pacenti's when they had the rim sale, but haven't built them yet. They look fairly similar, if you're a Clydesdale, err on the side of heavier, otherwise why not go lighter?

Tb14's where recomended to me over Pacenti's, at least in 700c by a wheel builder. I think partialy because theres 17 stone of me, and that the Pacenti's can be harder to get even tensions across the weld. Thats hearsay though.....

I have TB14s laced to some vintage Dura Ace hubs, which are on my Daccordi. The rims are VERY well-built and high quality. My wheel builder commented that they are the nicest rims he has had the pleasure of working with... I have no experience with the Pacentis...

I have two pair of 700C tb14’s, and one pair of Pacenti Brevet in 650B. I’d say they are very similar, and both high quality. Both build up easily, round and true with even tension for the butted spokes I use for all my builds. No problems remaining that nice. The oldest set of tb14 have about 7000 miles on them with no tweaks since the original build. Tire mounting is easy on both. The 650B Pacenti Brevets have 1400 miles including some gravel roads.
The primary distinction, and probably the source of the weight difference, is that the tb14 ferrules spread the load to both rim surfaces, whereas the Pacenti ferrules only contact the inner surface. So the tb14 would theoretically be the stronger rim. But if tubeless is in your future, than the Pacenti would be the way to go. I’m sure they are both plenty strong enough. FWIW, all my tb14’s weigh 504-505gm on my home digital scale. I can’t find any mention in my notes regarding the actual weight of the 650B Brevets.

I have built 4 or 5 pair of each for customers, one pair of Brevets for myself (I'm not a super high mileage rider @2K miles/year, and around 210 lbs.) and consider them both excellent. Advantage to the Brevets if you want 650b rims, to the H Plus if you need 36 holes. I just love having available rims of a vintage appearance made with superior modern materials and manufacturing. Have had one Brevet crushed by UPS in shipping but NO issues related to manufacturing with either one. You truly can't go wrong with either.
