For this one I suggest: 1. the springer fork, 2. the rear wheel, 3. saddle, 4. any decals or serial #'s, 5. right crank & chainrings, 6. front & rear wheel hubs up close. What is the tire size? If legible.

It looks most likely like a fat tire Schwinn (circles on the chainring, filleted welds at the head tube) that was adapted for a Whizzer motor (big belt pulley, front drum brake)

It appears to be a Schwinn. They came out with the cantilever frame in 1938, and the springer is the Schwinn type also. The front fender is mounted wrong, looks like. It's worth maybe $150. Schwinn serial #'s are pretty accurate date stamps.

When I was a kid my Dad stripped his old Whizzer down for us to ride. We used to use it as a mountain bike would be used. Jumps, ramps, farm trails etc. We even tied a rope with a Javex jug on it and launched it off a plank ramp into our "deephole" swim spot in Violet Creek.
The OP's bike is identical to my foggy memory of that one. Post WW2 to early fifties were the Whizzer bike years.
