Veterans Day weekend plans

Anyone else have Monday off for Vet's Day?

It's supposed to be in the mid 60's here in the NYC metro area?

Any plans?

Remember to think of and thank the great men and woman veterans of the country this weekend.

Let's keep this thread alive - go out and ride your bike, bring back pictures!

I had rain gear when I lived in AZ. So I could ride on those 3 days of the year

Regardless of how hard I ride, if it's 50 degrees outside and pouring, I'll probably go into hypothermia wearing thin ass Lycra shorts and jersey.

65° and 0% chance of rain in Oaktown, you're golden on Vet's Day. It's almost never 0% chance of rain here. I think it bottoms out @ 10% just in case

I'm riding tomorrow morning, then working 1-5pm. Maybe down rollout on Sunday.

Green = precip probability, Red = rate.

I'm doing a charity ride for MS on Sunday. Part of a 1200 mile trip from Mt. Pleasant SC to Mt. Pleasant MI. Our campus cycling club was asked to participate in the final 7 mile leg, which ends at a local bar. The guy who owns said bar also said that there is a free party for anyone who participates in the ride.

Sounds fun! I have a group presentation in a class tomorrow. Shouldn't be a big deal since I'm going to finish the research today, but my heart always starts pounding before I get up to speak in front of anyone. Maybe I'll get a nice ride in afterward.

44F this morning. felt like summer after 19F on Tuesday.

have Monday off, took Tuesday and Wednesday as well. plan on riding every day. rain is a non-issue for me now and i'm pushing my cold tolerance. also working my way through 'Halo 4'.

in 1992 i took my shiny new college degree to the Marine recruiter, as i'd dreamed of being a USMC officer. at the time they were not hiring and my drill sergeant father told me not to sign up for anything i didn't absolutely want. so, my life took a different path. although i can't help but wonder what kind of Marine i would have made.....
