profile racing track hubs?

recently i was shopping for a hub for a particular wheel build that checked all of the below boxes:

[] 130 spacing
[] fix-fix threaded
[] 28 hole
[] 44mm chainline

as far as i can tell, no one else makes this particular combination. after a bit of searching, i did find the profile racing hub, so i bought one, and just recently built it up to an archetype rim.

the quality looks to be pretty good, and the bearings feel nice and smooth, so i am not concerned, but anyone have profile racing hubs and care to comment on them? miserable weather here has kept me off the roads for a few weeks, so just looking for opinions. i hardly hear them mentioned, anyone running a profile rear?

I can say that Profile makes very nice parts. I don't expect you'd have trouble with them.

Profile track hubs are awesome. Made in the US and close to (if not equal to) to Phil Wood in overall quality.

FWIW, all Phil Wood rear track hubs are also available with 130mm spacing.

If I'm not mistaken couldn't you just have bought a 120 hub and spaced it too 130?

Generally re-spacing a 120 fixed/fixed to 130mm adds 5mm to each side changing the chainline by that amount. Doing it properly requires a different hub shell.

Chainline is center of the hub/bike/bb out. If you add 5mm in spacers to each side the center to cog doesn't change at all. Or am I missing something

Who said the amount of hub spacers had to be symmetrical on both sides?

No, your right. Getting confused with changing the space from the dropout for multi-speed fhreewheels.

Would ride. Would get better performance than a cheap set of formula hubs? No.

Probably a reply to my post.

Expensive to change spacing on those hubs, but can be done.

Cheaper to buy correctly spaced hub.
